Saratoga: Pletcher, Pletcher, Pletcher

It's all Todd Pletcher all the time here at the Spa as he has gone 3 for 3 thus far today. And, he has two more runners including Artisanal in the Hattie Moseley Stakes and Stay Thirsty in the $500,000 Jim Dandy. John Velazquez has been aboard for all three winners.

Dark Thunder, despite a wide trip, won a $56,000 allowance/optional claimer to make it 3 for 3 on the day and four straight wins at the meet when you factor in Turbo Compressor's victory in the Curlin Stakes on Friday.

Earlier in the day, Pletcher won a pair of 2-year-old races with Giant Surprise going six furlongs on dirt and Captain Webb going 1 1-16 miles on turf. Giant Surprise had to be vanned off and Pletcher said he was awaiting X-rays on the colt's left foreleg.

Pletcher has won 9 races at the meet through the first 8 days. He is well on his way to breaking his record of 36 winners he set last year.

If Pletcher is able to win with his two remaining starters, he will equal his own personal best of five wins on a Saratoga card, something he did on Aug. 30, 2004.
