Saratoga: Maragh sore, but otherwise okay

Rajiv Maragh was sore, but otherwise appeared to escape serious injury as the result of a spill in which he was involved Wednesday at Saratoga.

Maragh was aboard Pico Dinero, who fell entering the far turn of a turf sprint, for which he was the favorite. Maragh was removed the course on a stretcher and taken by ambulance to Albany Medical Center where he underwent a series of tests and X-rays that were all negative.

``He's a little sore,'' Richie DePass, Maragh's agent, ``but he did not break anything. Everything's negative.''

DePass said a decision on whether Maragh would ride Thursday would not be made until the morning.

``We'll see he feels when he wakes up,'' Maragh said. ``If he's sore I don't want him riding.''
