Saratoga: Fast & firm on Travers Day

It's a picture-perfect Travers Day: not a cloud in the sky, zero humidity, and an expected high of about 80 degrees. A reminder that first post is 11:35 a.m. Eastern.

The main track is fast, the turf is firm. Note the temporary rail has been taken down from the Mellon (outer) course.

There is a $1 million guaranteed pick-6 that begins with the Ballston Spa (race 8) at 3:30 p.m. Eastern. There is a $1 million guaranteed all-stakes pick-4 that begins with the Victory Ride (race 9) at 4:05 p.m. Eastern.

Also, there is a double wager linking the Travers (race 12) and tomorrow's Personal Ensign.

The only early scratch from the five graded stakes is Kid Kate from the Victory Ride.
