Saratoga: Blind Luck wins Alabama

Blind Luck (10th, $5.60) rallied from last in a field of six to win the 130th running of the Alabama Stakes by a neck over Havre de Grace. Acting Happy set a slow pace and faded late to finish third. Devil May Care, the 3-4 favorite, challenged four wide turning for home but had no punch and finished fourth. Tizahit and Connie and Michael completed the order of finish.

Trained by Jerry Hollendorfer and ridden by Joel Rosario, Blind Luck ran 1 1/4 miles in 2:03.89 over a fast main track. The Alabama was her fifth Grade 1 victory, and she remained unbeaten from five starts on dirt tracks.
