Santa Anita: Super High 5 carries over

There is a carryover of $34,222 for Wednesday's $1 super high five after Miss Marsha Lee ($37) pulled an upset in Monday's eighth race and 7-5 favorite Chana's Girl finished last of 10 in the field of maiden claimers.

Miss Marsha Lee was followed by Sweet Consolidator (3-1), Homework (7-1), Exponential (12-1) and One More Palo (9-1).

Miss Marsha Lee had lost her first four starts, but was third in her last start. She gave apprentice jockey Alex Gonzalez his second win of the day.

The super high five is conducted on the last race each day. For Wednesday, the race is a $30,000 claimer for 2-year-old maidens over seven furlongs. The race lacks a standout, but Minutesandtouches, third in a $50,000 claimer for maidens at Hollywood Park in November, and Big Kiss, third in a $32,000 maiden race at Hollywood Park on Dec. 3, will figure on many tickets.
