Santa Anita: Respect this filly

Email

All Due Respect won for the third time in her 12-race career with an easy victory in a one-mile optional claimer in Monday's second race.

Ridden by Joe Talamo, All Due Respect ($3) finished 2 1-4 lengths in front of pacesetter Ellafitz in a field of four. Emmy Darling was a late scratch with one minute to post after "failing to warm up properly," according to track stewards.

All Due Respect was timed in 1:34.20. The filly had an ideal trip, stalking Ellafitz before taking into the stretch. The optional claimer was All Due Respect's first start since a second, by a nose, in the Grade 3 Harold Ramser Handicap at Hollywood Park in October.
