Santa Anita: Pretty Kinzie upsets

Pretty Kinzie ($29.80) rallied from fourth in a field of 10 to pull an upset in Sunday's fifth race, the second race of a lucrative pick six.

Ridden by Brice Blanc, Pretty Kinzie ran 6 1-2 furlongs in 1:15.56, ending a three-race winning streak in the race for $9,000 to $10,000 claimers. Primed, the 9-5 favorite, finished second, losing by 1 1-2 lengths.

Primed was claimed for $10,000 in a three-way shake by Robertino Diodoro. She's Not Lion, who finished fifth, was claimed for $10,000 by A.C. Avila.

Avila started the 5-2 second choice Cruzin Topless, but she did not finish the race after being pulled up at the eighth pole with a suspensory injury, according to track stewards. Cruzin Topless was taken back to Avila's barn for observation.

She was the second horse to be vanned off in the first five races on Sunday.
