Santa Anita: Pick 6 to one ticket

Email

Juniper Pass's late rally in the Grade 2 San Juan Capistrano Handicap on Sunday led to one winning ticket in the pick six, worth $206,710.

The pool was a robust $386,940 on Sunday, the final day of the winter-spring meeting. As a result, the pool had to be paid out. If there had been no winners with six, the money would have been fully shared by ticketholders with five winners.

Going into the last race, only Juniper Pass was covered on a pick six ticket. Sent off as the second betting choice, Juniper Pass won by a head over Imponente Purse. Tickets with five winners were worth $9,713.

The other winners of the pick six races were Greenspan ($16.40), One Nation ($9.60), Hurricane Harbor ($33.20), El Vino ($29.20) and Streets of Heaven ($7). None of the winners of the pick six races were favored. Streets of Heaven and Belo Purse, who finished fourth, were both sent off at 5-2 in the ninth race, but Belo Purse had more dollars bet on him to win.
