Santa Anita: Pick 6 is formful

The first three races of Sunday's pick six have followed the support of bettors.

Jax El ($8) won the fourth race, after beign bet down from 8-1 on the morning. The next two races were won by favorites - Lucy Got Lucky ($4) and Wild Hombre ($4.80). The $1 pick 3 combining those runners paid $23.80.

Sunday's pick six began with a carryover of $104,449. Bettors added $650,469. There is virtually no chance for a double carryover into Thursday's program.

Wild Hombre finihsed a head in front of Member Ofthe Tribe, who was 1 3-4 lengths in front of Lead Blocker, who had a tough trip. Jockey Joe Talamo had Lead Blocker behind horses on the turn and lost momentum at a key time. Lead Blocker made up some ground while racing wide but could not threaten the first two.

Member Ofthe Tribe was a game second and led in the stretch. He was making his first start since a ninth-place finish in a maiden claimer for statebreds at Fairplex Park in September 2009.
