Santa Anita: Mildly Offensive rolls

The first-time starter Mildly Offensive lived up to high expectations with an easy win in a maiden race for 3-year-old fillies in Saturday's sixth race.

Ridden by leading rider Rafael Bejarano, Mildly Offensive ($4.20) set an early pace of 22.28 and 44.84 seconds, and pulled clear through the stretch to win by 4 1-4 lengths over 12-1 Home Sweet Aspen. Beautiful Sunday, a 5-1 shot, finished third in the field of nine.

Mildly Offensive, by Sharp Humor, had shown a series of quick works in recent weeks and ran accordingly in her debut, finishing six furlongs in 1:08.25. Mildly Offensive is trained by Carla Gaines.
