Santa Anita: Big pick 6 pool

The maiden claimer Greenspan ($16.40) won Sunday's fifth race, the first leg of a pick six that drew a pool of $386,940. Greenspan was the first career winner at Santa Anita for Los Alamitos-based trainer Angela Aquino.

Ridden by Agapito Delgadillo, Greenspan ran five furlongs in 58.53 seconds, winning by a half-length over Cabo San Lucas. Naturaliste, the 5-2 favorite, finished third.

The pick six must be paid out today, the final day of the meeting. Hollywood Park opens its spring-summer meeting on Thursday.

Aquino, 30, has a 12-horse stable at Los Alamitos, with a mix of Thoroughbreds and Quarter Horses. She said in the winner's circle after Sunday's sixth race, that she has several starters being pointed for the Hollywood Park meeting.

The second leg of the pick six, the sixth race, was won by One Nation, who was ridden by Rafael Bejarano. The mount was originally for jockey Martin Garcia, but he was unseated in a spill earlier in the day and took off his mounts. One Nation ($9.60) outran 7-1 Rightful Image and 6-5 favorite Reality Ride, who set the pace.

One Nation was claimed by Doug O'Neill for $50,000.
