Fifth Ave ($28.80) won her U.S. debut in an upset in Friday's seventh race as the longest shot in a field of five 3-year-olds fillies.

Ridden by Mike Smith, Fifth Ave was off the pace until the field reached the main portion of the turf course, took the lead in early stretch and won by 1 1-4 lengths over 3-5 Rumor. Fifth Ave ran about 6 1-2 furlongs on the hillside turf course in 1:12.59.

Rumor finished three lengths in front of Up In Time, who was followed by Rosehill Dew and Forty Paces.

Fifth Ave won 2 of 13 starts in England last year, with the victories coming at Bath on turf and Kempton Park on a synthetic track. She is now trained by Jim Cassidy.
