Remington: Beware of 69-year-old jockey Brooks

Jockey Roy Brooks, who is one of the oldest active jockeys in North America at the age of 69, will be seeking a stakes double at Remington in the next two races. He will ride Sumokin in the upcoming $50,000 Easy Jet and Blackwater Command in the $50,000 Jack Brooks Stakes.

Saturday night at Remington, Roy Brooks guided Capo de Capi ($62) to an upset win in the $285,735 Heritage Place Derby. He rode the horse for trainer Eddie Willis, who also trains Blackwater Command.

Brooks is expected to ride at Fair Meadows in Tulsa following Remington.
