After seeing the betting menu on the Breeders Cup website I was dissapointed to see 2 juvenile races in the pick 6 and a juvenile race in both pick 4s on saturday. I won't be betting the pick six or even pick 4s now, just the late pick 3 and the last 2 doubles, in addition to betting the BC turf mile as an individual race. what a bummer

Johnnyz, very, very interesting, thanks. There's no question that in the St. James, RP displayed tremendous gameness - this is a racehorse who understands her job - in trying to win. I also thought Henry seemed pretty resolute. In comparing efforts of RP, I'd say the QEII showed him in a finer state of tune, a little more on the muscle perhaps, but not overly so, just the right amount, enough to get the jump on Henry, which seemed like the difference. RP seems in perfect condition, much like Forever Together, who I have had the utmost confidence in. She put in a startling run in her last. What is your opinion of Falco? Is he a 3yo? The reason I'm asking is that this long-legged colt seems like he's still figuring out who he is, and what the deep end feels like? Seems like he has more than what he offered in the St. James? I replied on the Crist blog about Square Eddie, who I also think should be considered on par with Vineyard.

Steve T, it was Happy Ticket. I pulled up some Breeders Cup PPs from 2006. She started 8-8 all in LA, 6 of those against LA-breds, went to Arlington, won a G3 and then basically campaigned nationally from there. She won the Ballerina and Fleur de Lis (Grade 1 and Grade 2), and I think finished 2nd (to Round Pond) in the 06 Distaff.

HandiGambling 105; Keeneland, 7th fAlw 54000N$Y - 6 Furlongs Interesting conditions for this race, and as such, I believe the #8 Filly CRAWFORD COUNTY may hold an edge. Not so much a class-edge, but a recent form edge since being tranfered to the patient Mr. Secor. This filly has performed admirably on synthetic surfaces, and should have the tactical speed to secure a nice position in this 6 furlong sprint. ARTEMIS PRISS is a hard-knocking type who may also benfit from an abundance of pace, and could be there toward the finish. I will also include FUN GIVEN and the probable favorite, DHANYATA (Ire) as contenders. Of course there are many others; however, I will squander Captain Illman's booty with a play consisting of: $1 Superfecta box - 2-8-10-11 $1 Exacta box - 2-8-10-11 $1 Trifecta box - 2-8-10-11; and $40 to Win on the 8. Nice race. I will play it with real money in much smaller increments, but I do intend to wager on this race. Arrrggg!!! Van Savant

HandiGambling 105... I think #2 Dhanyata is a standout. She should be able to sit off some of the speed, 3rd start of the form cycle, easier spot today. So I'll try to hook him up with some longer priced horses in the exacta. One of those is #7 Altered State. His last is a throwout, both of his wins are on Poly and he's drawn well. The other is #12 My Favorite Tune, who won his two previous starts sprinting and and is 3-4 at the distance. There are issues, like his slow works, but he was never a real demon in the mornings. The price will be big. So here we go: $30 exacta 2 / 7,12 (60) $10 exacta 7,12 / 2 (80) $1 tri 2 / 3,7,12 / 3,4,5,7,10,12 (95) $5 win 12
