Oaklawn: Works for Rebel

A number of Rebel Stakes hopefuls put in works for the March 19 race on Sunday morning. Below is a brief rundown on the drills:

ARCHARCHARCH, the winner of the Grade 3, $250,000 Southwest in February, breezed six furlongs in 1:13.40, working to the seven-eighths pole. Clockers caught him galloping out seven furlongs in 1:26.60. Jockey Jon Court was aboard for trainer Jinks Fires.

ELITE ALEX, who was third in the Southwest, breezed six furlongs in company in a bullet 1:12.40, working to the seven-eighths pole. Clockers had him galloping out seven furlongs in 1:27.20. Jockey Calvin Borel was aboard for trainer Tim Ritchey.

CALEB'S POSSE, the winner of the $100,000 Smarty Jones at Oaklawn in January, breezed five furlongs in 1:02.20. His stablemate, ALTERNATION, went five furlongs in company in a bullet 59.80 seconds. Luis Quinonez was aboard ALTERNATION for trainer Donnie Von Hemel.
