Oaklawn: Can Dutrow go 3-for-3?

Trainer Tony Dutrow has won with the first two Oaklawn starters of his career in the last week, and will attempt to go 3-for-3 in the upcoming fifth race. Dutrow on Monday won a $35,000 optional claiming allowance with Double Threat, then on Friday took the featured eighth race with Holyfield.

He is back in action Saturday with Rock Yard, in a first-level allowance. Jeremy Rose has the mount on Rock Yard. Rose was also aboard Double Threat and Holyfield.

For those who forgot how much Ok Nothanksforaskn likes the Oaklawn surface, he reminded us in the third race. He improved his local record to 3-for-5 when he led throughout the $12,500 claiming race run over a mile. Ok Nothanksforaskn returned $13. Joe Johnson was aboard for trainer Don Habeeb.

Jockey Ken Shino escaped serious injury in the first race, when his mount, Blue Haze Day, broke down early in the stretch run of the five and a half furlong claiming sprint for fillies and mares.
