Oaklawn: Arkansas Derby Paddock Report

Email

Noble's Promise, who opened up as the favorite in the Grade 1, $1 million Arkansas Derby, was the last horse to be saddled in the indoor paddock as it appeared the girth for him was being changed out. The other horses left the enclosure to head to the infield for riders-up, and Noble's Promise was not far behind them. He continues to be the 3-2 favorite with 11 minutes to post for the Arkansas Derby.

In a few other notes, Dublin, one of the top choices, was a little hot in the indoor paddock, which had a large crowd looking down on the horses. Super Saver and Pulsion were notably composed, as was Line of David. Most of the horses, in fact, handled the crowd and conditions well in the indoor paddock in what is sure to be good training for the large crowd expected next month in the Kentucky Derby.

The post parade has now begun....
