Oak Tree: Zenyatta's morning

Zenyatta exercised on the backstretch training track for the third consecutive day on Sunday.

After jogging for approximately six furlongs, she stood stationary on the outside rail of the half-mile track for about two minutes before starting a gallop of about 1 3-8 miles, or nearly three circuits. On a warm morning, there were few others horses on the training track when Zenyatta was taken to the track by exercise rider Steve Willard from 9:40 a.m.

Trainer John Shirreffs said that Zenyatta may train on Hollywood Park's main track on Monday. Unbeaten in 19 starts, Zenyatta is scheduled to have her first workout on Thursday since the Grade 1 Lady's Secret Stakes on Oct. 2.  Her next race will be her final career start, the Breeders' Cup Classic at Churchill Downs on Nov. 6.
