Oak Tree: Thursday scratches

Following the cancellation of Wednesday's program after a flash rainstorm led to erosion on the backstretch, racing goes ahead on Thursday with an eight-race program.

The program begins at 1 p.m., but there will be no turf racing. The fifth and seventh races have been moved to the main track, and those races will have reduced fields because of the change in surface.

In the fifth race, Dextera, Tequila Tonight and Powerofvoodoo have been scratched. In the sixth race, an allowance race over 6 1-2 furlongs for 2-year-old fillies, May Day Rose is out, which will make Tales in Excess an even lower priced favorite. In the seventh race, Otto Von Voom, Keen Bidder and Face and an Ace will not start.

The seventh race was booked for a mile on turf. The race will now be run over 1 1-16 miles.
