Oak Tree: Premier Pegasus is BC-bound

Premier Pegasus remained unbeaten in two starts with a frontrunning win in Saturday's minor Jack Goodman Stakes, and the performance impressed owner-trainer Myung Kwon Cho enough that he is considering pre-entering the colt in the $1 million Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf. The Juvenile Turf is run on Nov. 6, and pre-entries are due to Breeders' Cup officials on Monday.

Premier Pegasus, who is by Fusaichi Pegasus, has never run on turf, or beyond six furlongs, but Cho has been known to take chances with success. He had had two runners in past Breeders' Cup's, finishing third in 1996 with Critical Factor in the Juvenile Fillies and third inn 1997 with Nationalore.

Premier Pegasus is a half-brother to Street Hero, the winner of the Grade 1 Norfolk Stakes at Santa Anita in 2008.
