Oak Tree: Meet's fastest 6 furlongs

Square Deal ran the fastest six furlongs of the Oak Tree at Hollywood Park meeting in 1:08.99 in Thursday's fifth race, an optional claimer.

Ridden by Victor Espinoza, Square Deal ($11.20) closed from third to win by a half-length over 11-1 Earnednevergiven, with 4-5 favorite Spaniard finishing third.

Square Deal gave trainer Kistin Mulhall her sixth winner from nine starters at the Oak Tree meeting.

In the sixth race, Yasuda rallied inside to run down 3-5 favorite Movie Duty in the final 50 yards and won a $12,500 claimer over 6 1-2 furlongs. Pay for Play closed from the outside to pass Movie Duty in the final strides.

There were two claims in the sixth. Yasuda was claimed by Vladimir Cerin, while Movie Duty was taken in a two-way shake by Doug O'Neill.
