Oak Tree: The filly stood there

The 3-1 shot Brought It refused to race in Monday's second race for female $8,000 claimers but was ruled as a starter by track stewards after her stall doors opened at the same time.

At the start of the six-furlong race, jockey Jose Verenzuela urged Brought It to get into the race but the filly did not start with the others. She was pulled up less than a quarter-mile from the start, when hopelessly trailed off.

The race was won by Popular Date ($6.20) who caught pacesetter County Kildare in the final furlong.
