Oak Tree: Fierce upset at 50-1

Hollywood Fierce ($103.20) rallied from fifth in early stretch to win Saturday's sixth race and almost assure a pick six carryover into Sunday's program.

A first-time starter trained by Dan Hendricks and ridden by Paul Atkinson, Hollywood Fierce ran 5 1-2 furlongs in 1:04.67, catching stretch leader Switzers Da Man, the even-money favorite to win by a half-length. Hollywood Fierce, by Tapit, made his first start on Saturday.

He was the seocond longshot winner for Hendricks at the meeting. He won the Grade 1 Oak Leaf Stakes on Oct. 3 with Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies contender Rigoletta ($67.40).

Hendricks is having an outstanding Oak Tree at Hollywood Park meeting. From five starters, he has had three winners and two seconds.
