All of them deserve to be favored but all three have textbook drawbacks:

Hallandale Beach, FL -- I'm in sunny and windy Hallandale for the early Opening Day at Gulfstream Park today, and still reeling from the announcement yesterday that the Hopeful Stakes at Saratoga has been downgraded to a Grade 2 race for 2012.

After 27 scratches, 23 of them in the three off-the-turf races, the three-day $237,446 Aqueduct pick-6 carryover is a 44-horse 8x6x8x7x8x7 proposition: The main track is labelled muddy after a full day and night of rain, with more showers likely during the afternoon. The sequence is scheduled to begin at 1:50 pm.

11:59 am: Wanted to post at 11:11 am on 11/11/11 but I lost track of the time trying to decipher today's Aqueduct Pick-6, which starts with a three-day carryover of $188,308 in the kitty. Time to stop licking those Court Vision and Drosselmeyer wounds and get back in the pool.
