Monmouth: Stay Outside

Through three races on Monday and it still appears that the outer paths are where you want to be on the main track, a bias that has been in play since the weekend started on Friday. It also has become clear that the bias and the strong weekend for jockey Elvis Trujillo are directly related, as the underrated rider has taken advantage of a situation that has somehow eluded many of the other jockeys. Blindly boxing the outside horses in dirt races, unthinkable to some handicappers, may not be the worst ticket to buy before making any other plays.
