Monmouth: Fast and Firm...For Now

Email

It's humid, mostly overcast, but dry in New Jersey, yet that seems certain to change. That's if the radar is correct, as the green/yellow/red blob that is moving left to right on the map appears to be on a collision course with the coast. Whether it passes over Oceanport is any handicapper's guess but I wouldn't be surprised to see us get at least some rain before the Pick 5 starts in race 6, so make your advance wagers with caution.

Hopefully we stay on the turf, because I like Gaelic Storm (#7) in the 9th race, scheduled for the grass. I'm also interested in Score the Gold (#6) in the 10th, and Saratoga Sinner (#7) in the 11th. Earlier on the card, Omega Mine (#4) seems to now be in a good spot in the 4th after a slew of scratches changed the complexion of the race, seemingly making her the lone speed.
