Monmouth: Bias Gone?

It's hard to get a line on this main track, with Steepechase events run every other race, but the game win by firster A Story of Revenge in the 5th pretty much tells you the inside is at least better than it's been on recent weekends. That kind of trip -- inside, on the lead, under pressure -- was simply insurmountable when the rail was dead.

Incidentally, jockey Joe Bravo is the lone rider I'll back when it comes to firsters on the rail, and he did it again with A Story of Revenge. He's just better than most when it comes to getting an inexperienced horse out with the field, as many debuting runners will shy away from the fence and get away slowly. Bravo is somehow able to get them to come out running.
