Monmouth: Back on the Turf

Email

They're calling the main track "Fast" and the turf course "Good" for the start of the Independence Day card (Happy 4th!), which is somewhat of a surprise given the nearly day-long rain on Sunday. It's a relief to see they're on the grass, as this card could have really fallen apart if today's four tuf races were switched to the dirt.

Keys for me today include Jersey Kiss (#5) in the 7th, Tune Me In (#9) in the 8th, and Ling Ling Qi (#5) in the 11th. It doesn't seem to be a great race in terms of value but the Mr. Prospector (race 9) features the return of Sean Avery, who was so impressive in his latest, the Longfellow Stakes.
