These photos brought tears to my eyes, especially Thunder, Skippy, Real Quiet, Black Tie Affair, Buddy, and Cahill Road. May they all rest in peace. They are all very, very missed. Thank you, Barbara.

Lovely photos in memory of so many great horses. In particular, I would like to thank you for the ones of "Black Tie Affair"--he will forever occupy a very special place in my heart! Dee Poulos

Barbara, outstanding job as usual. You do so much by always reminding us of the past greats, and not so greats. It doesn't matter which, they're all our "Old Friends." They give their heart and soul - and sometimes their life - and never ask for anything in return. And I too got a bit emotional and stopped scrolling for awhile when I saw Big Truck as a foal...and for or anyone who has somehow never read this poem...... Where in this world can man find nobility without pride, friendship without envy, beauty without vanity? Here, where grace is laced with muscle, and strength by gentleness confined. He serves without servility; he has fought without enmity. There is nothing so powerful, nothing less violent; there is nothing so quick, nothing more patient. Our past has been borne on his back. All our history is his industry: we are his heirs, he is our inheritance. Ladies and Gentlemen: The Horse

We will all miss the famous Thoroughbred horses known to many....There are the many horses known to few which will leave holes in hearts, such as our Princess Luisa..... Barbaras' pictures show the personal devotion of many to these beautiful animals, such as the one with Gus Koch and Personal Ensign. The pictures demonstrate the thoroughbred athlete, beauty, and pride. Thank you Barbara for this moving tribute.
