Lone Star: She said "Yes!" in winner's circle engagement

Refused to Commit might have won the first race Friday night at Lone Star Park, but Sally Flusche said “yes” when Brady Cagle asked her to marry him in a winner’s circle proposal following the turf route for fillies and mares.

Flusche, 25, and Cagle, 26, went to high school together in North Texas and later reunited at a trackside concert, said Brian Pochman, media relations manager for Lone Star.

“They had not seen each other since high school,” he said, “until they saw each other at Lone Star Park two years ago on a Friday night when the Randy Rogers Band was here.”

Following tonight’s races, Lone Star is putting on a concert with country artist Stoney LaRue.

Pochman said Cagle bet $20 across the board on Refused to Commit, who paid $4.80.
