Lone Star: My Star Runner back on turf

My Star Runner, the multiple stakes-winning Louisiana-bred, will make a rare turf start in the upcoming seventh race. The $50,000 optional claiming allowance at five furlongs is the highlight of the card. Others set to start include Tomahawk Creek, the fourth-place finisher last out in the $50,000 Route 66 at Will Rogers Downs, and the quick Ranger Danger.

My Star Runner has made one start on the grass, and won a maiden special weight last summer at Louisiana Downs. He comes into Sunday's main event off a runner-up finish in the Route 66. My Star Runner has opened up at 6-5. Luis Quinonez has the mount for trainer Cody Autrey.

In race changes, make the rider on No. 3, Kissin Child, Ivan Arellano, and scratch No. 5, Thunderpants. There is no superfecta wagering in the seventh race.
