Lone Star: Main track sprint suits Inthenickoftime

Inthenickoftime ($11.20) moved back to both the main track and one turn for the featured seventh race at Lone Star Park and won the second race of his caerer. He was prominent throughout the $18,000 optional claiming allowance at seven furlongs, and in the stretch turned back a bid from El Oso.

Inthenickoftime was bred to excel on the main track at Lone Star, as his sire, Ghostzapper, won the Breeder's Cup Classic when the race was run in Grand Prairie in 2004. Meanwhile, his dam, Savorthetime, once set a track record for six furlongs when winning a stakes on the Million Day program at Lone Star.

Cliff Berry rode Inthenickoftime for leading trainer Bret Calhoun.
