Lone Star: Juvenile filly romps

Storm's Promise ($3.20) romped by seven and a quarter lengths in the fourth race, a $25,000 maiden claimer for 2-year-old fillies at four and a half furlongs. It was the second career start for Storm's Promise, who had finished fourth in a maiden special weight in her career debut May 12. Chris Landeros rode the winner for trainer Karl Broberg. Storm's Promise is a daughter of Seattle Fitz.

The first four races on Sunday's program have been won by clear margins, including the 33-1 upset Isabella the Lady pulled in the second, when she defeated five other fillies and mares in the first-level allowance. The longest shot on the board, Isabella the Lady ($69) won by two and three quarter lengths over 1-2 favorite Tapia.

In other races, Miss Lucky Slew ($6.60) won the first by three lengths, while Hayszmoon ($9) was a five-length winner in the third.
