Lone Star: Big turf debut for Unbidled's Heart

Unbridled's Heart ran a big race in his turf debut, when he won the ninth, a first-level allowance, by a clear margin. He invaded from Keeneland for the race, off a sixth-place finish in a seven-eighths allowance April 23. Unbridled's Heart is fro the mare Wild Heart Dancing, a Grade 2 winner on the grass who earned close to $600,000. Erik McNeil rode the winner for trainer Dallas Keen.

Lone Star will host a diamond dig following the last race, with the first 500 women through the gate earlier this afternoon getting a shot to try and unearth a $2,500 diamond from the racetrack. The dig gives mothers a chance to act like their children for once, many of them dressed in their Sunday best on Mother's Day. The event is one of the most popular promotions at Lone Star.

o Jockey Luis Quinonez will renew his quest for 3,000 career Thoroughbred wins on Thursday. He is two shy of the milestone.
