Lone Star: Big run from El Oso

El Oso ($5.80) put in a big run through the lane to win the featured fourth race, an $18,000 optional claiming allowance sprint, by a clear margin Friday night at Lone Star Park. Taste Big finished second, followed by McTallah in third. Chris Landeros rode El Oso for trainer Jack Bruner.

El Oso broke with the field from the rail, let the speed go and was angled outside of horses into the final turn. He then began his bid four-wide at the quarter pole, and finished well while covering six furlongs in a sharp 1:10.15.
