Lone Star: Babies on the track

The second race is a maiden special weight for 2-year-old fillies, with Needadrink, from the first crop of Grade 2 winner Fire Slam, the public's choice heading to post.

Lahaiana Miss, who has a big white face, is also getting good support for her worktab and pedigree as a daughter of the good 2-year-old sire Forest Wildcat. She is also a half-sister to the stakes-placed Bear Lahaiana, who won seven races and $272K.

As for changes, No. 5, Pike's Miss Penny, she is to be ridden by Erik McNeil.
