Last online shot at Breeders' Cup Betting Challenge

Email

This is it. The final online qualifier for the 2015 Breeders’ Cup Betting Challenge is happening on Saturday, on BCQualify.com. Buy-in for the qualifier is $190 and up to five Breeders’ Cup Betting Challenge seats will be awarded, plus $500 in travel per winner. If you want to emulate previous champions like Bob Traynor and Patrick McGoey  – each of whom parlayed a small-entry-fee BCQualify.com win into hundreds of thousands of dollars at the BCBC – you won’t have another chance online until the 2016 Breeders’ Cup.

The Breeders’ Cup Betting Challenge is the world’s premier live-bankroll handicapping contest. It costs $10,000 to buy in, with $2,500 of that funding the prize pool, which gets paid back at higher than 100 percent to the players. The remaining $7,500 acts as a bankroll for the two days of the Breeders’ Cup. Players can bet in the win, place, show, exacta and trifecta pools on any races over the two Breeders’ Cup days.

A prize pool worth over $800,000 is expected at the BCBC, and about 15 seats will be awarded to the National Handicapping Championship, where a purse of at least $2.5 million is expected. BCBC players will also get third floor grandstand dining seats and a buffet lunch each day. Players can also participate from satellite locations at Belmont Park, Del Mar, Gulfstream, and Santa Anita.

There are two other options in the DRF family of contests on Saturday. One is the DRF Bets contest, the other is the DRFQualify.com qualifier for Santa Anita Autumn Championship next weekend, when BCBC seats also be on offer. Buy-in on DRFQualify.com costs $125 and up to two $4,000 seats will be awarded.

Here are the races for the BCQualify.com and DRFQualify.com contests:
3:51 Keeneland 6th
4:13 Belmont 7th
4:24 Keeneland 7th
4:30 Santa Anita 2nd
4:46 Belmont 8th
4:57 Keeneland 8th
5:19 Belmont 9th
5:30 Keeneland 9th
6:00 Santa Anita 5th
6:03 Keeneland 10th
6:30 Santa Anita 6th
7:00 Santa Anita 7th

The three tracks are the same as the ones being used for the DRF Bets contest. There are eight turf races and three maiden events. Eight of the races have 10 or more entrants.

DRFBets contest Saturday

Contest action returns to DRFBets on Saturday with a new format. The top two finishers will both receive seats to the National Handicapping Championship, to be held in January at Treasure Island in Las Vegas. A purse in excess of $2.5 million is expected at the NHC.

“We’re very excited to host another NHC tournament on DRF Bets,” said contest director Jordan Goldberg. “We love the idea of one of our customers winning big money at the world’s most prestigious handicapping tournament.”

The contest rules are simple. There is an $80 registration fee. On Saturday, contestants must make eight online $8 win wagers on any of the races at Belmont Park, Keeneland, or Santa Anita. Customers keep whatever amount is left on their bankrolls at the end of the tournament.

To be eligible to play, contestants must have a membership at DRFBets and be registered for the National Handicapping Championship Tour. Tour membership is $50 and enables players to compete for NHC seats in all contests where they are on offer. Tour members are also entitled to discounts on Daily Racing Form past-performance packages.
