Keeneland: Together Indy wins Commonwealth

Together Indy, 12-1 on the morning line for Saturday's Grade 2 Commonwealth, seemingly didn't have a lot of the traditional factors in his past performances that lead to mutuel action. His two wins had only come against New Jersey-bred competition; he had never finished better than fifth in a stakes race; and had never raced on Polytrack.

Yet when the odds flashed with approximately 20 minutes to post for the Commonwealth, Together Indy was 2-1 favorite.

Although he eventually drifted up to over 5-1, his early support accurately proved an accurate reading of his relative chances. He proved victorious, defeating Congressional Page without much difficulty.

He also capitalized by racing in one of the weakest Commonwealths in recent memory, drifting up from his early action and paying $13.20.

The payoffs were delayed over 10 minutes due tote issues.
