Keeneland: smart money

How smart were the sharpies for the 2nd race today, a "baby" race at 4 1/2 furlongs? Well, in a 12-horse field (11 betting interests), the public nailed the superfecta cold when Ingenue (6-5 fave, J.Leparoux) overhauled the W.Ward free-wheeler Tiz Terrific (5-2) to win going away. The winner is owned by Dogwood Stable and trained by N.J.Howard. Rounding out the super ($206.80 for $2) were Grace Abounds (the 6-1 third choice) and Chocolate Drops (8-1 fourth choice).

There are 21 MTP for the 3rd, that $67k alw for graded stakes-quality turfers, and Battle of Hastings is the early 7-5 choice to give R.Napravnik her first win of the meet. The turf is rated yielding.
