Keeneland: Rusty Arnold's Keeneland streak remains alive

“The streak” remains alive.

Trainer Rusty Arnold - who according to Keeneland officials has saddled at least one winner at every meet here since 1987, with the exception of one meet in the late 1980s when he did not start a horse – entered closing day of the Keeneland meet winless, but kept his remarkable win streak alive when Catching Reys scored a 24-1 upset in race four.

Arnold, 56, owned, bred, and trained the winner, a 2-year-old daughter of Rey de Café, who rallied up the fence under apprentice Constantino Roman in a blanket finish to win her debut.
