Keeneland: McPeek wins training title

Ken McPeek was the leading trainer at his hometown track, Keeneland, for the second straight year when Super Robusto finished second for his chief threat for the title, Wayne Catalano in the 8th race Saturday, closing day of the 17-day meet. As noted in an earlier post, McPeek won the 5th race with Jazz Life to give him a 10-9 edge over Catalano. When Super Robusto ran 2nd to Agastache ($11.20), it made McPeek the winner.

Julien Leparoux easily won the jockeys' crown.
