Keeneland: Fri. scratches etc.

They don't readily call races off the turf here at Keeneland, but this is how much it's supposed to rain here today: they've already switched the 2 scheduled grass races, the 5th and 8th, over to the Poly. The weathermen have been calling all week for a wet Friday, and that's what we'll be getting.

Lots going on around here and at CD, of course, with the Derby just 15 days away. The G3 Lex tomorrow serves as a potential Derby prep for just one horse: Silver Medallion, the 8-5 fave for S.Asmussen and J.Castellano. It's a solid card, with the G3 Ben Ali and the Giant's Causeway also on tap. A reminder that there won't be any racing here Sunday because of the Easter holiday.

Worth noting that W.Ward scratched a nice one out of the 6th race, a 2yo dash, and left the other half of the entry in . . . that strategy worked yesterday, and it might well work again today with Gypsy Robin. The feature today is the G3 Doubledogdare (race 9), for which 11 older fillies and mares remain after early scratches.

They're calling the Poly fast. No carryovers in the 50-cent pick 5 (races 6-10) or the $1 super high 5 (race 10). First post is 1:15 ET. Here follow the early changes:

Race 1 - SCR # 2 Gotmy I Onu; SCR #7 Don't Blame Teddy
