Keeneland: Fri. scratches etc.

It seems like a pretty nice Friday morning here, but beware: the weathermen are calling for a heavy rain a little later in the day, with strong winds and all the other storm trimmings, so it might get ugly here today. They're calling for a cool front to come in behind the rain, meaning tomorrow (Blue Grass Day) won't be all that pleasant (highs in the mid-50s) for the big ontrack crowd.

A whole lot going on here at this time of year, and to top it off, we had the Dutrow drama here yesterday. Bottom line on that story is that his 2 stakes horses, Amen Hallelujah (2nd in the G1 Madison yesterday) and Court Vision (M/L fave in the G1 MMMile today) both get to run, albeit in the name of absentee trainer Justin Sallusto. In the meantime, Dutrow still doesn't have a Ky license, and there figure to be more developments in that ongoing story in the coming weeks and months.

Worth noting that the first carryover of the meet in the 50-cent pick 5 (last 5 races every day) resulted yesterday when a number of long-priced winners rolled in. The carryover into the 10-race Fri card is $51,891. Winners with 4 of 5 yesterday cashed for $405. In addition, there is a 2-day carryover of $25,848 in the $1 super high 5 (race 10) today.
