Keeneland: Closing-day scratches, etc.


Now the curtain comes down on what has been another eventful 15-day Keeneland spring meet. The weather could've been better, obviously, but once again fans turned out en masse to enjoy another terrific 3 weeks of first-class racing. Today we close with the G3, $150k Elkhorn (race 9) and its Canadian-dominated lineup, with Musketier defending his title for R.Attfield. It's a fairly nice day here in Ky, with high temps expected to hit the mid-60s, and the sun is supposed to come out in full force at some point, although those oh-so-familiar clouds have been hanging around again.

Note that there are mandatory payouts on the 50-cent pick 5 (races 6-10) and $1 super high 5 (race 10), although there is no carryover in either after both were hit yesterday.
