Keeneland: Back-to-back 9-1 shots open Wed.

A pair of 9-1 shots combined for a $2 early daily double worth $194 to start off the Wednesday card at Keeneland, where the weather once again is autumn-perfect. Philogyny, a first-timer for trainer Al Stall Jr., won the opener following a nice outside stalking trip under Greta Kuntzweiler, after which Eborerer, with Tommy Pompell up, held off odds-on Alarming Afleet for a narrow triumph in the 2nd.

There are 18 MTP for the 3rd race, in which there is the only scratch of the day aside from the 2 we reported earlier: #2, Petite Fuego, has been declared. Summer Flight (#6) is a lukewarm 3-1 choice among the 8 filly-mare sprinters who remain.
