Hoosier: still rainy

Despite the best efforts of the Indy weathermen, it's still rainy here at Hoosier, where it looks like the 16th Indiana Derby, featurning Lookin At Lucky, will be run over an off track. The rain has been coming and going all morning, and HOF trainer Bob Baffert just said he's OK with a wet track. Remember, LAL was 6th over the CD soup in the Ky Derby, although most handicappers would agree it was a tremendous overall effort, given all the serious trouble the colt incurred.

LAL is listed at 5-2 on the Hoo morning line, which has prompted more than a few serious players to shout: "WHERE DO IT BET!" if in fact the M/L was a true offering. Seems that 2-5 is more like it, with Thiskyhasnolimit and Worldly likely to be the next choices in line in a field of 9.

So far, through 6 of 14 races, early speed has held well over a 7-fur surface currently rated muddy (looks sloppy), but that's pretty standard for this track.

The Indiana Derby goes at 6:02 ET, with live coverage on HRTV.
