Hoosier: Good Baffert karma

Email

Good karma currently abounds for the tandem of Bob Baffert and jockey Martin Garcia, as they won the Indiana Oaks with front-running Always a Princess some 30 minutes before they will team together with heavily favored Lookin At Lucky in the Indiana Derby. Always a Princess ($6.80) turned back her race-long chaser, Ash Zee, before splashing to a clear-cut victory in the Grade 2, $200,000 Oaks. Harissa, a mildly surprising fave at 8-5, was a tough-trip third, with Seeking the Title fourth in a field of 6 3yo fillies.

There are 30 MTP for the Indiana Derby, and to no one's surprise (except maybe the Hoo linemaker who pegged him at 5-2), LAL is the 1-10 favorite, with Uareoutlaw next at 13-1. Post time is 6:02 ET (HRTV). The track condition remains muddy.
