Hollywood: Skipton Creek in an upset

Skipton Creek caught pacesetter Artuya in the final sixteenth and held off a late run from an unlucky Rosehill Dew to win Friday's third race, the first leg of the pick six.

Skipton Creek ($24) won by a head, finishing 1 1-16 miles on turf in 1:42.88 in the allowance race for 3-year-old fillies. Artuya held third. Skipton Creek, trained by Neil Drysdale, has won two consecutive races, having won a maiden race at Golden Gate Fields last month. David Flores rode Skipton Creek, his second consecutive winner on Friday.

Rosehill Dew's stretch run was the focus of an inquiry. She bumped with Warren's Flyer in early stretch, but after Warren's Flyer faded from contention the stewards ruled the incident did not affect the order of finish.

Skipton Creek won the first leg of a pick six that drew a pool of $149,410.
