Hollywood: Show plunge alert

Email

Canadian Pride, the 4-5 favorite in the upcoming sixth race, has been the subject of a major show bet.

The 2-year-old filly was second to Turbulent Descent in a maiden race on Oct. 3. Turbulent Descent has since returned to win the Moccasin Stakes and starts in Saturday's Grade 1 Hollywood Starlet Stakes. In addition, third-place finisher Teroda returned from that race to win.

With 14 minutes to post, Canadian Pride, trained by Bob Hess, Jr., had attracted $61,848 of the $64,422 bet to show.
