Hollywood: Sadler doubles - so far


Trainer John Sadler won for the second time on Saturday when Asperity ($10) rallied wide through the stretch to win a $28,000 to $32,000 claimer over 1 1-16 miles on turf in the fifth race.

Asperity was making his first start for Sadler, having been previously trained by Neil Drysdale for Augustin Stable.

Asperity has won 4 of 24 starts. Saturday, he rallied to win by 1 1-2 lengths over Unusual Smoke.

Earlier in the day, Sadler won the Miles Tyson Stakes with the favored Cost of Freedom. Sadler has three more starters on Saturday - My Diane in the forthcoming sixth race, He's a Dance Star in the eighth race and Tell a Kelly in the Hollywood Starlet Stakes, a Grade 1 and the ninth race.

Asperity won the first leg of a pick six that attracted a strong pool of $242,760.
